Mike Foster- Main Restaurant Area
Finding Time to paint is always a challenge for Mike foster, a full time art teacher at Waukesha South High School who works to balance teaching, coaching track and time up North. It’s his natural interest in working with people that has led to his primary subject matter as an artist : the human figure.
Chuck Weber- Long Hallway
To achieve greater spontaneity and a lighter figurative style while maintaining strong technical skills, artists often follow the lead of the masters and paint oil studies; or "sketches". These looser, lighter, "alla prima" works are most often completed in a single siting, forcing the artist to simplify the presentation and isolate the important elements. This collection of Chuck Weber "Fresh Paint" figure studies are typically painted "en plein air", and are rendered with palette knife and brush in a more spontaneous style.
