Well… what a June! First the Bees, then the Flood.
We started off last month with a swarm of bees landing in the tree outside our patio. Luckily, no customers were affected, but it was quite a site to see.
Check it out on Fox 6 News.
After our nice beekeeper,Karl Lurvey, came and solved our problem, we thought the rest of the month would be smooth. Little did we know that nature had another surprise for us. The great flood of the downtown was amazing. I don’t know when I have seen that much water in the street. We were dry, but didn’t really plan on being open that Monday and Tuesday. We would really like to thank all of our customers that went out of their way to come to lunch those days. We know it wasn’t the easiest task to get here, so thanks for supporting us!
With all that we also have to say thanks for the great Anniversary party! I know a lot of you were ready to have fun after the week of cleaning up from the water. We had another banner night, and look forward to next year. The Dirty Boogie was a fantastic band to kick off the summer with. Even though we will be in a new location, we hope you will find it just as fun.
Last, but not least we said goodbye to a loyal customer and good friend, David Schmidt. David we wish you good luck as you leave Waukesha for Appleton.
